The purpose of applying for this grant to is to; allow the opportunity, context and support to fully develop exhibition concepts with an enhanced depth of content and preparation. This will
build on, my twenty years of media production experience and extend the production values, impact and reach of this and future project ideas.
Penguins are an enormously popular, tourist drawcard, and quite possibly, universally regarded as “cute”. But but how much do we really know and appreciate about their lives, the lives of the other lifeforms as they interact with coastal and ocean environments. Of course no matter how cute, Penguins also face the risks of climate change, habitat degradation and loss. This is of importance, and hopefully interest, to audiences from metro, regional, coastal, inland, national & international. My experimental approach will lead audiences into appreciating, the natural world we are part of including art,science, and perspectives related to and beyond our own self interests.
