Hidden Creatures was an annual outdoor multi-media exhibition that was part of City of Greater Bendigo's Easter Fair. Each year between 2008 and 2016 on the Easter Friday at 5.30 am , I dragged a large double horse float or furniture trailer and station wagon, full of all sorts of sculptures, constructed themed housings for portable dvd and computer screens, and multi-channel soundscape set up into Bendigo's Rosalind Park Fernery. Robert Stephenson would travel up from Melbourne to provide tireless hours of help with set up and install his sculpture and animation assets. Mine and Robert's whole family helped with keeping the show running over the weekend-long shows. Gary Hillier collaboratively designed wth me some amazing fantastic contraptions and inventions including a water and solar powered fountain that a couple of the creatures 'controlled'. Maree Tonkin from City of Greater Bendigo initiated the first activation of the Rosalind Park Fernery for this exhibition and Rohan Phillips continued assisted enabling the project to happen each year. Sadly in 2016 a drastic shed fire engulfed the exhibition trailer all exhibits and technology in what was an old farm barn and machinery shed.
