The visual rhythms and patterns formed within and between all living things, store memories, communicate meanings and embody their own forms of intelligence.
A multimedia installation with its own circadian rhythms: kinetic sculpture and silhouettes by day, animated light and projection by night. This installation will draw on inspiration and perceived connections between patterns in nature, including ourselves, mechanical and digital machines, reflecting on rhythms of energy and rest, day and night and cycles of growth. There is a lot of talk about A.I. or “artificial intelligence” but… what is intelligence and are humans the only ones to possess any of it? Surely not, as any pet owner will tell you! What and how might the rest of nature do their type of thinking and communicating?
