1) Pentatonics and Modulations - an Ableton Live performance of changing colours and textures. A wide variety of sounds made with a number of different kids of software. (18 mins)
2) From White Plains north... - another Ableton performance - this one uses the sampled percussion instruments from the Percy Grainger House Museum in White Plains, New York, which they have released for use by the general public. (14 mins).

"RETURN"
When I left New Zealand in 2006, I left behind pretty much all the equipment that I had built up playing in Dunedin, performing improvised music. I never had much money to afford fancy gear so I was economically forced into alternatives. Therefore, all of the handmade records and altered record players with which I had been using to make my loop based vinyl reconstruction pieces I left in New Zealand. Bereft of equipment and forced into another kind of music making.

This performance is a return to the purity of those early, record only performances. From discovering Christian Marclay's record works to constructing my own altered records and radiograms, playing solo as SPIT or in other groups such as EYE, this mode of performance harks back to my early days as a musician and sound performer. For this performance, I will return to playing altered records in a spirit of those earlier manifestations.
