Winner , winner 3rd prize Chicken Dinner!!!- Big thanks to Marco Alessi(Naviar Records), Pat Boran and Kilohearts Audio for receiving third prize for my response to the haiku of Pat Boran's ‘Waveforms: Bull Island Haiku’
Pat Boran says:
“Tumbling waves set the scene and introduce dulcimer sounds and chimes, suggestive of the wind, and punctuated by birdsong recordings. A cross between location recording, studio atmospherics and a subtle, evocative score that bravely suggests more drama that the otherwise minimalist setting might conjure.”

"SwampLakeCity" is finished and the result of eight years of
creature and environment soundscape recording and making plus hundreds of train trip lap top experiments and home instrument making. Thanks to Naviar Records for this CD Release of my imagined and real sound scape ecologies:
available now as limited CD and or Digital Download from
naviarrecords.bandcamp.com/album/swamplakecity
"SwampLakeCity by Ed Mundio is Naviar's final release of 2019. It's also the final chapter of our releases focused on the sonic exploration of the environment, after Audio Obscura's "Gathering Silence" and Larbjo's "Transits and Passages".
"In making this project I became aware that I have perhaps mistakenly and unconsciously always been seeking pristine recordings of pristine environments yet this is not the usual sonic world around myself or most of us…So I have accepted and embraced the sonic ecology that surrounds me and have built on these multi-layered environments.
I have also aimed to sonically layer different eras and ages of landscape simultaneously; the sonic realisation of the past present and future in one moment."
