My January and February 'art-home' away from home, supported by the lovely staff and facilities of
La Trobe Art Institute. A fantastic opportunity to try out installation ideas in a space that can be left in place to be tested throughout different times of day and daily changes in ideas and responses.
But... first I conquered opening and closing the doors(!), measuring up the room photographing the useful features of the space .
I’m looking forward to experimenting and testing installation ideas in this space. Ample natural lighting with potential for silhouettes, sound and projection. Louvres for gentle natural breeze, ceiling fan and aircon for machine assisted machine air movement. Ample light for work and even plant growing.
Working themes so far, are around: sonic entanglements, moving moods and 'mood lighting' along with ideas of 'Fractal time'.
