"Spoken" Peter Miller Presentation.
Peter Miller presents a selection of original works from his 40-year artistic career as a composer, sound designer and visual artist.
In Spoken, Peter introduces a curated showcase of pieces that illuminate a persistent thread that winds through his music: the use of the spoken word as a musical device. Drawing from Gothic literature and cinema, soap operas, personal interviews, and recorded messages ‘from the afterlife’, Spoken explores the uncertain boundaries between sleep and wakefulness, between human and machine, and between life and death.
Featuring ambient and narrative video, and high fidelity audio, Spoken is a guided tour through selected works from Peter’s canon, from the early 1980s to the present.
